On Thursday February 15, 2018, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit concluded two separate investigations which resulted in arrests and drug seizures. 

During a search of a residence on Nichols Street in Langston, Alabama, Narcotics Investigators located and seized Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Morphine, Clonazepam, Lorazepam and Drug Paraphernalia.   As a result of this investigation, Charles Christopher SHANKLES age 31 of Dutton, Alabama was arrested and charged with 4 counts of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  SHANKLES remains in the Jackson County Jail and bond has not yet been set. 

 During a search of a residence on Lakeshore Drive in Langston, Alabama, Narcotics Investigators located and seized Clonazepam, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.  Arrested in connection with this investigation was Ashley Nicole BAKER age 30 of Langston, Alabama who was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. BAKER remains in the Jackson County Jail and bond has not yet been set.
