02/23/2018 Jackson County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest |

On Thursday February 22, 2018, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies David Poole and Logan Kenimer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 72 in Scottsboro, Alabama for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Deputies arrested the driver, Beatrice HILLIS age 36 of Grant, AL. for DUI and conducted an inventory search of her vehicle. During this search Deputies located Marijuana, Cocaine, Xanax, Oxycodone and $1,591.00 US Currency. HILLIS was transported to the Jackson County Jail where additional amounts of drugs were located on HILLIS’ person. HILLIS was charged with: DUI-Combined Substance Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances-Cocaine Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances-Oxycodone Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances-Alprazolam Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree Promoting Prison Contraband (3 Counts)
HILLIS remains in the Jackson County Jail on $38,800.00 bond. |
