On June 16, 2015, members of the Jackson County Sheriffs Office Narcotics Unit and Patrol Deputies responded to a the J & W Motel in Scottsboro, AL. to investigate a complaint of drug use.  While at the Motel, a small quantity of Marijuana was located and the following persons were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree.

Paul Edward DAWSON age 34 of Woodville, AL

Anthony David BOOZER age 25 of Stevenson, AL

Shane FURLINE age 45 of Section, AL

Jana FAUSZ age 36 of Woodville, AL. 

After being taken to the Jackson County Jail, FURLINE attempted to destroy physical evidence and was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

During a search of BOOZER at the Jail, additional amounts of marijuana were located along with a Hydrocodone Pill.  BOOZER was charged with Possession of Controlled Substances (Hydrocodone)and Promoting Prison Contraband. 

SMART has been released on a $500 bond, and the remaining four defendants are still in custody.
