Two Weekend Drug Cases

On Friday May 11, 2018, members of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, JCSO Patrol Division, SBI/ALEA Region F Drug Task Force and Scottsboro Police Department executed two search warrants in Scottsboro, Alabama on Worthington Street and Beech Street resulting in the seizure of 1 ounce of Methamphetamine/ICE, Hydrocodone, Xanax, and $1,346.00 US Currency.   Arrested in connection with searches was Keri Brooke WINKLES age 30 of Scottsboro, Alabama who was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Hydrocodone) and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Xanax). WINKLES (pictured above) was booked into the Jackson County Jail and later released on $35,000 bond.

On Saturday May 12, 20-18, in a separate investigation, members of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, JCSO Patrol Division and Scottsboro Police Department conducted an investigation into drug distribution activity at the Red Roof Inn in Scottsboro, Alabama.  During a search of a room and vehicles located on the property, Deputies/Officers located and seized approximately 1 pound of High Grade Marijuana packaged for resale, Drug Paraphernalia, Two Weapons, Marijuana Wax, Xanax, Oxycodone, 216 Ecstasy pills along with $4,371.00 and three vehicles. Arrested in connection with this investigation was Jessica Layne CARLSON age 24 of Scottsboro, Alabama who was charged Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st degree, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Xanax x 2), Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Oxycodone), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Ecstasy. CARLSON (pictured above) was booked into the Jackson County Jail and later released on $32,800 bond.
