08/12/2021 Murder Charges on Billy Dwight CARTER
Reference the previous press/news release regarding the Attempted Murder arrest of Billy Dwight CARTER dated 8-9-2021. The charges against CARTER have been upgraded to MURDER. This charge is based on the fact that the victim James Jeremy OWENS succumbed to his injuries today (8-12-2021) at approximately 1:22 PM EST. An arrest warrant for Murder was obtained for the arrest of CARTER, who surrendered himself at the Jackson County Jail at approximately 6:30 PM on 8-12-2021. Bond was set at $250,000.
