08/13/2015 North Jackson Pharmacy Burglary/Juvenile Arrest |

In the early morning hours of August 13, 2015, members of the Stevenson Police Department, Bridgeport Police Department and Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm at the North Jackson Pharmacy in Stevenson, AL. This pharmacy has been burglarized at least two times in the past year and prescription medications stolen. Upon arrival Officers found the front door glass broken out and numerous bottles of Hydrocodone and Oxycodone missing from the pharmacy. Jackson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit processed the scene and were later able to develop a potential suspect. The Narcotics Unit, Patrol Deputies and Stevenson Police then went to a residence in Stevenson and located the suspect who was a 16 year old (Juvenile), along with the stolen prescription medications which had a "street value" of approximately $65,000. The Juvenile was charged with Theft of Property 2nd Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree, Two Counts of Possession of Controlled Substances and Possession of a Firearm without a Permit. This case is currently in the Juvenile Court System. |
