09/29/2015 Four Arrested in Jackson County on Drug and Weapons Charges |

On Sunday September 26, 2015, Deputies with Jackson County Sheriffs Office went to a residence on County Road 42 in Hollywood, AL. to attempt to serve a felony warrant on Stantaze KELLY age 25 of Hollywood, AL. Deputies were allowed to enter the residence to attempt to locate KELLY. While in the residence Deputies could smell the odor of marijuana and a search warrant was obtained by the Jackson County Sheriffs Office Narcotics Unit. During this investigation it was determined that two people, KELLY and Claude WASHIGTON age 44 of Hollywood, AL., ran from the residence as Deputies arrived. WASHINGTON was listed as one of Jackson County’s “Most Wanted” based on outstanding arrest warrant for Violation of the Alabama Sex Offender Laws. Deputies searched the residence and located Crack Cocaine, Methamphetamine Ice, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, a handgun with an altered serial number, a short barrel shotgun and other guns. Arrested, at the scene, in connection with this investigation were Willa SOARD age 19 of Hollywood, AL., and Reginald POE, Sr. age 66 of Chattanooga, TN. On September 28, 2015 both WASHINGTON and KELLY surrendered themselves to the Jackson County Jail. All four subjects were charged with Possession of Controlled Substances- Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substances-Crack Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm with Altered Serial Number and Possession of a Short Barrel Shotgun. KELLY and WASHINGTON were also charged with fleeing to elude. WASHINGTON also was booked on the outstanding arrest warrants for Violation of Alabama Sex Offender Laws and a Probation Revocation. POE was later released on a signature bond. KELLY, WASHINGTON and SOARD remain in the Jackson County Jail and bond has not yet been set. |
