03/03/2016 Jackson County Man Shot
On Thursday March 3, 2016, at around noon, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a man being shot at a residence on County Road 116, Hollywood, Alabama. Upon arrival, Deputies found James HORNE age 52 with injuries to the side of his head from an apparent gunshot. HORNE was transported to Erlanger Hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The apparent shooter, Verlon Wesley RAMSEY age 51 of Hollywood, Al. was arrested at the scene and charged with Assault 1st degree. No bond has been set.
