On June 23, 2016, a six month joint investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and the Madison County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit culminated with the arrest of one person and the execution of the and search warrant in Skyline, Alabama. At around 3:30 PM members of the narcotics units from JCSO and MCSO along with General Investigators and Patrol Deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Michael Shane ROREX age 45 of Skyline, on highway 72 in Scottsboro. This traffic stop led to the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, controlled pills, a firearm and US Currency. ROREX was arrested, after which, a search warrant was executed on ROREX’ residence in Skyline. During this search investigators located and seized approximately 8.5 ounces of methamphetamine ice and 3 ounces of Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and several additional firearms. Investigators also seized a 2003 H2 Hummer and a 2007 Mercedes C230 along with $3,487 in cash.

Rorex was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and certain person prohibited from possessing a firearm.

ROREX was transported without incident to the Jackson County Jail and bond has not yet been set.
