August Marijuana seizures

On August 30 and 31, 2016, members of the Jackson County Sheriffs Office, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Bridgeport Police Department and Stevenson Police Department conducted an operation in Jackson County Alabama with the primary purpose of locating and eradicating marijuana plants. During this operation, the following seizures and arrests were made:

 

August 30, 2016

300 marijuana plants, valued at approximately $750,000, were discovered near County Road 127 in Rosalie. Arrest/s are pending in connection with this seizure.

 

17 marijuana plants, valued at $42,500, were discovered on Hamlin Ave. in Bridgeport. Arrested in connection with this seizure was David Randall HOLDER age 31 of Bridgeport who was charged with Possession of Marijuana 1st degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. HOLDER was later released on $3,000 bond.

 

1 marijuana plant, valued at $2,500, was located and seized near County Road 53 in Stevenson. No arrests were made in connection with this seizure.

 

August 31, 2016

14 marijuana plants and approx 1.5 pounds of dried marijuana with a total value of $36,000, was discovered at a residence on County Road 715 in Higdon. Arrested in connection with this seizure was Randy L. DICKERSON, age 58 of Higdon who was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. DICKERSON remains in the Jackson County Jail and bond has been set at $25,500.

 

28 marijuana plants valued at $70,000, were located and seized in a field on County Road 714 in Higdon. No arrests were made in connection with this seizure.
