In the early morning hours of February 23, 2017, Jackson County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a “Suspicious Vehicle” call on County Road 446 in Dutton, AL. Upon arriving Deputies located a vehicle that was apparently stuck in a ditch in front of an unoccupied residence. Upon further investigation Deputies found an unsecured door to the residence and tire tracks, in the dew, leading from the vehicle to the residence. Deputies then located and recovered property that had been stolen from inside the residence and which was later identified by the property owner. As a result of this investigation, Robbie Lewis age 38 of Dutton, AL. and Billy Ralph Steed age 26 of Section, AL. were arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree. Both suspects remain in the Jackson County Jail.
