On May 1, 2017, Jackson County Sheriff's Office Deputy Brad Talley conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Jeremy Eugene Steele age 32 of Scottsboro, AL. and occupied by Patricia Kaye Olinger age 28 of Fackler, AL. During this traffic stop, Deputy Talley determined that the driver, Steele, did not have a valid drivers license and requested that the passenger, Olinger, who did possess a valid license, drive the vehicle. As the two exchanged places, Deputy Talley observed a bag containing methamphetamine fall from the vehicle. Both suspects were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Based on these arrests, probable cause was established to obtain a search warrant for Olinger's camper, which was located in Fackler, AL. As a result of the search of this camper, Deputies located and seized liquid methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and alprazolam (a schedule 4 Controlled Substance). Additional charges are pending on Olinger. |
