JCSO Arrests man twice in same week for Spice charges

On Saturday 6/3/17 the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a call about a reckless and possibly intoxicated driver traveling on US Hwy 72 in the Aspel community going toward Scottsboro, AL.   Lt. Craig Holcomb located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 72 in Scottsboro, AL.   As a result of this stop Lt. Holcomb recovered approximately 60 grams of Synthetic Cannabinoids also known as Spice and drug paraphernalia. Charles Edward Romans, 49, of Muscle Shoals, AL. was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Jail where Romans was charged with Trafficking in Synthetic Controlled Substances, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set and Romans was released on 6/5/17.

 

On the evening of 6/5/17, the Jackson County Sheriffs Office again received a report of a reckless driver on Hwy 72 in the Woodville, AL. area headed toward Scottsboro.   Deputies again located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in Scottsboro, AL. and determined that Romans was the driver. As a result of this traffic stop, Lt. Tim Creel located an additional 2 grams of Synthetic Cannabinoids also known as Spice and drug paraphernalia. Romans was again arrested and charged with Possession of Synthetic Controlled Substances and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Romans remains in the Jackson County Jail.
