09/05/2017 JCSO Arrest of Billy PEETE on DV and Kidnapping Charges |

On Saturday September 2, 2017, members of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Billy Gordon PEETE age 59 of Princeton, AL. during a traffic stop on Alabama Highway 65 near the Garth Community on outstanding arrest warrants stemming from a August 29, 2017 incident. PEETE was arrested without incident and charged with Kidnapping 1st degree, Domestic Violence Strangulation, Domestic Violence 2nd Assault, and Domestic Violence 2nd Burglary. These warrants were issued following a report being filed with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office claiming that on the evening of August 29 through the morning of August 30, 2017, PEETE went to the residence of his ex-wife on County Road 303 in Princeton, AL. where he forced his way into her residence, assaulted her, choked her and tied her up. PEETE then held the ex-wife, against her will, for a period of time before releasing her. PETE remains in the Jackson County Jail on $25,000 bond. |
