On Tuesday 10/3/17 Jackson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) Deputy Travis Stevens conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Co Rd 25 in Skyline, Alabama. As a result of the traffic stop Deputy Stevens arrested William Christopher Smith, 26, of Scottsboro, Alabama on an outstanding arrest warrant. Deputy Stevens also recovered approximately one pound of Marijuana and approximately 4 grams of Methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia. The JCSO Narcotics Unit also responded to the traffic stop to assist Deputy Stevens and process the scene. Smith was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana 1st degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

In a separate arrest Lt. Craig Holcomb arrested Brandi Lynn Vann, 29, of Skyline, Alabama on an arrest warrant for a bond revocation at a residence on Al Hwy 79 in Skyline, Alabama. Vann was found to be in possession of approximately one gram of Methamphetamine once she arrived at the jail. Vann was then additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd degree.
