Deputy Locates Drugs and Paraphernalia Hidden In Child's backpack

On October 28,2025 a Jackson County Sheriff's deputy came upon two vehicles stopped in the roadway on County Road 75 in Bridgeport, AL. The deputy determined one vehicle had ran out of gas. Two occupants the vehicle were determined to have outstanding warrants in Jackson County. During a search of the vehicle, marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids ( spice ) and drug paraphernalia were located in a child's backpack. Also inside the backpack was a child's notebook and classwork. There was not any children in the vehicle when the deputy made contact with it. The case will be forwarded to the Alabama Department of Human Recourses for investigation.

Three occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
