Traffic Stop leads to Vehicle Pursuit and Drug Trafficking Arrest

On August 19,2025 a JCSO Patrol Deputy stopped a vehicle for a equipment violation on CR 287 in Stevenson Al. The driver fled in the vehicle once the deputy made contact with the driver. A pursuit ensued and the driver threw a bag of illegal narcotics from the vehicle during the pursuit. The illegal narcotics were recovered by deputies. The vehicle came to a stop a short time later and Larry Kirk age 63 of Bridgeport was taken into custody. Another bag containing illegal narcotics was found inside the vehicle. A total of approximately 229.4 grams of Methamphetamine/ Fentanyl mixture was seized. 

LARRY KIRK was arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine/Fentanyl), Felony Fleeing to Elude (Vehicle), and Tampering With Physical Evidence. Kirk remains in jail on a $58,000.00 bond.
